Today marks
our one year anniversary of our move to Honduras in 2012. So I thought I’d
celebrate the occasion by making my first blog post ever!
Since the
first day we arrived, my husband and I have felt completely at home in our new
country. We experienced miracle after miracle just getting here (flashbacks to
be posted later). Since we’ve been here, occasionally I will have thoughts pop
into my head, “Helen, are you crazy, to move from your home in the USA to a new
life in Honduras?” And immediately I think, “Yes, I’m crazy – crazy in
love with my God that sent us here, crazy in love with this country, crazy in
love with the children here!” I have complete joy being in the middle of God’s
will.
The year has
gone by very quickly for us. I still feel like I’m in adventure mode because
there’s so much I have to learn about Comayagua and the people here. We have had many mountain-top experiences and
also valley experiences, but in everything we have JOY!
